Hong Kong to Host UIM E1 Championships.

E1 Electric Raceboat

Hong Kong will be the only east Asian city to welcome the world’s first all-electric raceboat championship, the UIM E1 World Championship, in the next three years. The city will host the season finale of the competition in Victoria Harbor, where 10 raceboat teams will compete for the ultimate glory.

The teams will have to go through six grand prix races in Europe and the middle east, before arriving in Hong Kong from November 9 to 10 next year for the final showdown in the city.

The Tourism Board anticipates that the competition will draw thousands of spectators from all over the world to witness the race in Victoria Harbor, against the backdrop of the city’s iconic skyline.

The 2024 championship will take place in seven locations across the globe. Besides Hong Kong, the other six cities that will host the grand prix races are Jeddah of Saudi Arabia, Venice of Italy, Port Banus of Spain, Geneva of Switzerland, Monaco, and Rotterdam of the Netherlands.
